This beer is a part of a Single Hop IPA series by Mikkeller. We created this series to showcase hop varieties on their own. This gives the consumer the possibility of smelling and tasting the unique characteristics of each variety and hopefully helping to educate people about the wonderful world of hops. For each beer, the single hop variety was used in the same weight for bittering, aroma and flavor and for dry hopping. All 19 varieties of single hop beers in this series were brewed the same week and with malts from the same batches and the same yeast and fermentation temperatures. This is done to better compare the characteristics of the different hop varieties.

Another good bittering hop that cannot stand alone. You have to appreciate the experience but the problem is the aroma and the flavor, magnum is too one dimensional.

Sampled on10/8/2011. This India Pale Ale pours a medium orange amber color from a 33cl mottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is fruity, caramel and sweet with some piney and floral hops. A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity, caramel and sweet. The hops are piney, floral and grapefruity. Decent carbonation. Medium to high bitterness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

fruity floral aroma is the forte, but the flavor comes off a little more on the boring side. good balance with the carmel malts, but not enough going on to stand out. 94 ibu.

Draught@Cask Pub And Kitchen, London. Nice amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is very bready, mildly earthy as well as caramelly. Flavour is much the same with some slight floral notes.
