The beer was dark brown, almost black. with a thick fluffy light brown head. The aroma was roasted malt, dark chocolate, and coffee. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with mild carbonation. The flavour was bitter with strong hints of coffee, chocolate, and plums. A great beer

centimeter sized dark tan head. Dark black body. Good solid coffee flavor smoothed out with the oatmeal. Good body. Not too thick.

Courtesy of Gillard. Thanks buddy I’ve been waiting a very long time to try this. Pours deep dark brown with thin mocha head and decent lacing. The aroma is assertive with roastiness and tart malt astringency, dark roasted coffee beans, chocolate, semi sweet molasses and more coffee. Great smelling brew. Yum. The flavor is both smooth and bold. How can that be? The taste is roasty moving toward burnt and then turning dark roasted coffee grounds by midway. Just amazing flavors that are rich and delicious.

22oz bottle from La Cave à Bulles in Paris
Appearance: Thick black with a nice dark tan head that doesn’t dissipate, some lacing
Aroma: Dark malts, vanilla, smoke and chocolate
Taste: Silky smooth and full mouthfeel. Roasted malts, chocolate and coffee
Wow! This beer is named correctly, I feel like I’ve eaten a big breakfast full of malts, oats, coffee and chocolate for desert. Well balanced and very tasty.Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8
Not sure where I got this bottle, but been a while. Still, says before 2026 on cap. Pours a dark brown colour with some light ruby highlights. The head is mocha-coloured, good retention and some decent creamy thin lacing. Lots of dark fruits in the aromas with mild liquorice, chocolate and coffee. The taste shows the roasted malt, liquorice, hints of coffee and with some nice hops in the finish with give a little grassiness, and good dryness. This cuts the richness of the malt. I do not feel the coffee comes out on its own in here, so maybe a little old, or just well-blended. Not bad, but I guess - was expecting more.

500ml bottle from Bistro l'Autre Oeil. Pours a very minimal amount of head and pretty much disappears immediately. Has a pitch black coloured appearance. Lacing is weak. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, cocoa, hints of raisins, resin hops. Flavours are a grab bag of sweets, cocoa, chocolate, coffee and much more. Some notes earthy and resin hops. Great retention. Slick and oily mouthfeel. Had a little bit of soft chunks in the finish, like really thick sediments had formed. Was kind of off-putting. Overall was pretty good but maybe it was left aside for quite a while.

Poured with a pitch black body topped off by a small dark brown head that dissipated leaving light patchy lace. The aroma was full of espresso with some dark chocolate. Mouthfeel was rich, medium to full bodied with a light creaminess. Flavor was again dark chocolate and espresso with some smoky, burnt flavors as well.

Pours darker than the night with a sub one finger chocolate milk colored head that lofts a bit. Well carbonated. Aroma is of dark malts, coffee, oats, and brewers liquorice. Taste is fairly tame on the taste but make up for it with the texture. Hints of coffee, dark roasted malts and bitterness. Very, very creamy. Spendy but I just love this beer!

Everything is good about this beer and is great with breakfast. Fabulous long lasting brown head. Although it doesn't leave much lacing. Strong coffee aroma. Very strong roasted malt, burnt flavour, strong coffee, dark chocolate, some smokiness and bitterness. Medium/full mouthfeel. Very nice. Should try this on Weetabix.

Smells of cold brewed coffee, cold coffee in gereral.... medium roast. Medium in body, slightly more sweet than bitter but aftertaste features some bitter coffee that tickles the back and sides of my tounge. Touch of hay on the nose, and mollasses. Touch of raisins minus the fruit whatever that means. I was suprised that this beer was as simple as it was. A really stellar coffee stout but really was simple in flavour, drinkable in body and really nice. Really well made, just nothing to make it incredible
