This is a light beer with light hop bouquet, and a faint citrus scent. You'll notice thin head, and light lacing and it's pale yellow color. The initial taste on the front of the tongue is light hops, barley and a slight tartness perhaps from citrus or maybe an apple hint. The magic happens as this beer slides down the back of the throat. The carbonation and the tart aspect of the beer come into play! It cleanses and soothes a parched dusty gullet like a healing elixir. If you've been singin' with the radio, yelling at the ball game, mowing, weed wacking, just plain working hard on a hot day this beer with its tart finish and little scrubbing bubbles will please a parched person pronto. What the other reviewers say about drinking it while it is cold is true. There have been occasions when this beer has gotten warm on me and I've wondered if I should dump it and get a new one, but then I remember the joy that first gulp brought, and how much I liked that second one. So I had to pound that third final warm one down, it just allows the next icy-cold beauty its chance to come out of the cooler and join the party!

Straw colored pour with zero head and minimal carbonation. Faint citrus taste with crisp finish. Nothing special. I was told that only 3 states carry this beer. Minnesota special.

Pours a pale yellow color. Smell is mild, slightly sweet. Taste is very light, a hint of sweetness. Feels light in the mouth and overall is weak tasting, even for this style.

I like to have some light beer in the house and this happened to be the right price at the time. There really isn't anything wrong with this beer--it is what it is. Drank cold, it is refreshing enough when I want something light.

It pours a light golden with a thin white head and some lacing. An aroma of barley, light hops, lemon and citrus, and some spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and rather rich. Flavors of malts, light hops, lemon and citrus, light bitterness, and some spiciness. Refreshing but nothing special..

Better then most lite beers out there, drink all the time at the beer gardens and events. Tastes watered down after a while but it still gets the job done. Decent but not at all bad. I'd drink the regular golden over this any day. DRINK ICE COLD OR YOU WILL REGRET IT! Bottle Tastes the best and can tastes the worse.

This is VERY popular in Minnesota and North Dakota. It is not sold on west or east or south coast EXCEPT texas. Only midwest and Texas. It is a good beer and not very expensive. Although if it becomes warm AT ALL it becomes bad. So keep it cold and you will ber very happy.

i remember when this was considered a full good tasting beer. it does exceed other popular "lite" choices like bud and coors. but let's not get beyond ourselves here. it's drinkable, particularly when ice cold. and it's pretty cheap.

No head and very little carbonation. Clear yellow color--most definitely not "Gold." Can detect a fruity aroma. Flavor is bland with even less mouthfeel or aftertaste than the regular version. Whereas the regular version is blasé, this is "Not bad for a light beer."

A not-so-surprisingly mediocre beer from AB. My first taste of the MIchelob line is somewhat bland, yet very smooth, which goes back to the blandness factor. Quite watery yet decent enough to try again.
