Mediocre across the board but pleasant enough. Just not a lot going on...light cocoa and carmel atop what is an average beer at best. One timer for sure.

Pours a muddy brown chocolate brown colour with a thin off white head. Aroma is plain, a little cocoa perhaps. Light chocolatey malts and watery almond in the taste.

Damn, I gotta say I like this stuff. This is not the first time I've had a dark mexican beer that has been quite tasty.
Poured out a dark clear mahogany beer with a good sized thick tan head that has great retention and produces slippery ropy lacing. The aroma is dry and a bit weak with grains and burnt sugar and toasted malts. The taste is along the same lines minus the grains - really malty with a some caramel. The mouthfeel is really good - smooth, good light carbonation and a low powered burnt and bitter finish. I need more. This stuff goes down very good.
