La recette de la Meteor de Noël vient du fond des âges : lorsque venait le temps des étrennes, les brasseurs préparaient une bière d'ambre et de lumière aux délicieuses épices. La Meteor de Noël est la référence qui s'affirme d'année en année

it's a amber beer with a fine foam. it smells sweet and caramels, in mouth i found sweety malts , it's fresh and crispy, it's quite light for a Christmas beer. but very easy to drink

250 ml bottle. Poured in the special Meteor Noël stemmed glass a clear copper-brown coloured Bière de Garde with a good one finger slightly beige foamy head that had a mid-sized retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is sweety and slight toasted malts, juicy fruits, oranges, lemon and spicy, cinnamom. The flavour is sweety malts, corn, spicy, orange peels, cinnamom, pepper and herbal notes. The mouthfeel is slight crispy and watery. This medium bodied Bière de Garde has a dry sweety and spicy finish. A drinkable anonymous beeer brewed near Stasbourg in the Alsace, but lacking of charm; we are far away from the expected Christmas gift !

650 ml green glass bottle, entirely covered in very "christmasy" plastic foil. Courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Also available in Norway at Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget. ABV is 5.8%. Clear and deep golden colour, large and lasting head. Fruity and spicy aroma with notes of farm kitchen, quite nice. The flavour has some of the "spritziness" of other bières-de-garde, but is sweeter, with caramel. Artificial "aroma" (whatever that may be) has been added, hmmm ... That is probably what I get some candy / pear drops notes from. Moderate hops in the finish. Not your typical Christmas beer, but drinkable.
