The great Citradamus predicts this IIPA will be one of your favorites. Citradamus is Melvin’s world class IIPA brewed with 100% Citra hops, pristine mountain water and northwest malt. Flavors of citrus (duh), pine and total dankness. Dry hopped with ludicrous amounts of Citra for that classic hoppiness that Melvin has become known for. ABV: 9.5% IBU: 88 Original IBU was 76

    Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9

12 oz can. Pours hazy dark golden orange with a big fluffy off white head that retains well and laces the glass some.

The aroma is sweet tropical fruit and resiny piney hops and some slight alcohol as it warms.

The flavor is a little sweet tropical fruit and bready caramel malt quickly followed by a big resiny piney spicy hop bitterness with a little onion coming out as it warms. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a big huge hop bomb that is partially balanced by the sweet fruitiness. A lot of Melvin beers can be a bit harsh on the bitterness - I like what the fruitiness adds.
