Known as Biere de Printemps (spring beer). Brewed in the winter and made for the spring. This is a hoppier version of our Biere de Garde. Made with Strisselspalt hops and French malt. Light amber in color and medium bodied.

A pretty refreshing brew: biere de mars (Country Ale). Poured murky amber color with a small head, little lacing, nice bubbling. The aroma was only light farmhouse and some citrus and grassy hops. Flavor was light caramel, light funk (underplayed for the style), and mostly hops, citrus and grass. Kinda like a cross between a pilsner and biere de garde. Full and carbonated mouthfeel.

Im finding it difficult to pin aromas in all these sampler glasses. Well this had a sugary citrus aroma. It poured a dark golden color. The flavor was tangerine and spices. This was a bit hoppier than any Biere de Garde. A thin palate with some sugar present in the aftertaste. It was ok.

Poured a dark golden color with a small, off white head that left no lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus hops, earthy yeast, vanilla, spices, funky barnyard, hay and dough. Taste went from tart and sour, citrus fruits, light maltiness, with a dry, light alcohol finish.
