Griffon ESB is a well balanced easy drinking traditional English Ale. The 2 row and Crystal malts blend perfectly with the Golding hop a “Classic” of English ales. The gentle herbal aroma of the English hops along with the rich malt flavour make Griffon ESB a must try!

12-pack of mix Griffon beers from McAuslan on my Quebec beer run 2017. Pours a clean amber colour with a frothy light-beige head, decent stay and some light foam lacing. Darker cereal malt nose at first with caramel that eventually takes over and hints of cheap hops. Flavours of cereal dark grain with some bitterness in the finish, sharpening the alcohol content. Butterscotch comes out and maybe a little too rich after a while. Diacetyl?? Not bad, but not like the other Griffon series, which I like for more mass-produced Quebec products.
