Comes out of the tap an opaque dark-chocolate brown with a fine-bubbled and rather persistent dirty tan head. Aroma is not particularly strong, has notes of chocolate, roast malt and quality coffee with a hint of charred wood. Smoky flavor has sweet malty and subtle fruity notes, as well as a hint of hops. Texture has average body and good fizz. A lip-smacking and enjoyable dunkel-weiss. (Say, isn’t that an oxymoron, like Black IPA?)

500 ml bottle at the brewery. Poured in the old Maisel Hefeweizen Vase an old copper - ruby brown colored Hefeweizen with a two fingers slight beige creamy foamy head that had a very long retention. Active carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is wheat toasted malts, yeast, some sourness. The flavour is roasted malts, caramel, ripe bananas, notes of dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is crispy and creamy, with some sourness and quite watery. This light to medium bodied Hefeweizen has a dry slight bitter finish. This Hefeweizen is too neutral, it lacks an body.

Bottled. Hazy rubyish brown colour with big white creamy head, that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is mild bananas, quite yeasty and also some wheat and spices. Slight caramel notes from deep under. Flavour is mainly wheat, some bananas and mild spices with slight yeastyness.

darker brown color, decent, frothy head, the aroma is malty with some different spicy traces, great not-too-heavy body and the taste is sweet-ish with strong caramel

deep brown colour, beautiful persistant foam and a perfect lacing; spicy malty aroma, medium malt body, sweet with long caramelish flavor - very good beer
