Alt means “old” in German. This style can be brewed with either lager yeast and fermented warm, or ale yeast fermented cool. This version is fermented with our lager yeast and fermented at 16 degrees. A moderately bitter brown lager, with a subtle grainy aroma and light biscuity/caramelly flavour. “Sticke”, or secret, alt is the strong version of this style.
