This is a member of the sweet Stout category that traces its roots back to mild Ales that were brewed with a portion of oatmeal to cut the green beer harshness. This stout is very smooth and slightly sweeter with a relatively high alcoholic content. The roasted malts and smooth creamy texture makes for a clean finish. This Beer also was awarded a Bronze Medal at the California State Fair.

This stout pours with a black body topped by little head with some lacing. The aroma and flavor are sweet, very roasty, malty and heavy with coffee and a little chocolate. Full bodied, smooth and a little dry.
