Tasted at the 2004 Pizza Port Real Ale Festival. Medium orange color. Small head. Aroma is fruity and malty. A medium bodied bitter. Malts are nutty and sweet. Hops are slightly spicy, floral and bitter. Some hints of smoke and peat. Mild flavors. Soft carbonation. A little funky and yeasty tasting. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

sampled cask conditioned at Pizza POrt's real ale fest 2003: hazy brown, large white head, slightly roasty nose, slightly sour, a mediocre session beer

Really ryeish aroma with a small amount of hops. Murky amber color. Lots of hops in the flavor with alot of water yet it is done in a way where it is decently smooth.
