This one has been a long time coming! The @surlybrewing crew came out earlier this month and CoHoperated with us on a big, juicy and chewy DIPA! Brewed with a healthy dose of Citra and Sultana, as well as Lotus hops to bring complexity to the fruit cocktail aroma. Notes of Pineapple, Vanilla, Orange, and Mango are backed up with a big sweet chewy body. Operation CoHoperation is our hop-forward collaboration series, where we coHoperate with some of our favorite breweries. A collaboration with our friends at Lupulin Brewing in Big Lake, MN, this double IPA covers all the bases. Brewed with Citra, Sultana, and Lotus hops, it couples juicy notes of pineapple, orange, and mango with a creamy, round finish. Hops: Citra, Sultana, Lotus Malt: Two Row, Flaked Barley, Flaked Rye, Acidulated Color: Light Amber Yeast: English Ale

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7

Pours slightly hazy topaz with a thick parchment head. Aroma yields resiny hops, fresh malt, tangy citrus with a tropical hint, and a touch of hay. Flavor gives rich citrus and tropical fruit, sweet and tangy, plus piney hops, fresh malt, a little bitterness. Texture offers lively fizz and smooth body. A successful operation.
