A dark mahogany colored beer with a small, two fingered light beige sudsy head rising briefly above. There's not much lacing left. Raspberries are in the nose. Raspberries in a nutty-malt base are the tasting. Light medium bodied. Okay.

Raspberry is there for sure, balanced sweetness to bitterness, slightly tart. Easy drinking, medium bodied, slightly syrupy aftertaste in the mouth. Hint of brown toast and other brown ale type flavours including biscuit. Quite a reasonable spring/summer beer.

I'm drinking this right now at their brewpub. Dark brown color with nice lacing. Fairly lift medium body, and not quite like a brown as I expected. Really nice thing is that the raspberry is super fresh in scent and flavor. Exactly like eating one, unlike some of the oversweetened syrupy tasting fruit beers you get.

Lost Coast Raspberry Brown is something different. The first thing that hits you when you pop open a bottle of this brew is a pronounced aroma ripe berries. The liquid pours deep brown, moderate head. Flavor is sweetish, hints of hops, with berry hints that are not overwhelming. An interesting brew to hit once in a while when your passing through the local quickie mart and are looking for something different

I figured this would be an interesting combination, a fruit infused brown ale. The beer pours a clear brown colour with reddish hues. The aroma is nutty malt and raspberries. The flavour is still nutty malt and raspberries, with a slight bitter finish.

This one starts out great. Pours a dark brown with ruby highlights and a small tan head. Aroma is very delightful--raspberries, sweet roasted malts, and a bit of chocolate. There was something about the taste though that didn't sit well with me. Perhaps the raspberry flavor was too artificial. Would probably go great with some vanilla ice cream.

being that this is a pretty nice, nutty brown underneath the raspberries, this is a pretty enjoyable beer. One to get light beer drinkers to switch to the dark side.

Brown cola body complete with a long lasting tan cap. Very sour aroma with raberry notes, whole thing comes across kind of soapy. Nope its not soap its baby powder and perfume. Sent is strong and fake. Flavour is better than the aroma nice and malty with fresh raspberries. Bitter finish with coffee lingering in the aftertaste. These raspberries seem so fresh. Great tasting brew but it smells so bad. Very complex I can only describe half of what I’m tasting.

Poured out a creamy light tan head that goes to a skim but still leaves good lacing on top of the ultra deep red with brown brew. Nice and attentive aroma of very fresh raspberries and roasted malts, slight nuttiness and even slighter chocolate. Funny, the raspberries don't seem that fresh any more. Excellent flavour! Nuts, raspberry, chocolate and roasted malts all mooshed up to perfection. Hey, there's even some hops here and they don't ruin the beer. Medium bodied or a bit more. Decent beer for sure and maybe a go to brew when looking for a raspberry brew that's not called Lindemans.

Nice deep red/brown color, like a dark cherry. Nice raspberry aroma with a hint of chocolate. A little thin in the mouth, though very fizzy; an outstanding mix of nutty/chocolaty brown taste with a rich tangy raspberry. as stated before here, this isn't a stereotypical fruit beer where the emphasis is on the fruit, but it is a very nice meld. This combination would make a great keg party beer for both fruit drinkers and dark drinkers. i might wanna clone this one.
