A SMaSH, Single Malt and Single Hop, IPA using a caboodle (technical term for a large amount of malt) of malt and a new hop released in 2012 called Mosaic (HBC 369). It is a daughter of Simcoe (YCR 14), one of our favorite hops. Whole cone Mosaic is used for bittering, flavoring, and aroma in the kettle; it is also massively dry hopped. The beer is named after a Texas Heroine. Tasting notes: chalk-white head with a very clean malt backbone. The hops impart strong grapefruit, pineapple, and blueberry flavor and aroma. A strong beer that is extremely quaffable.

Opaque yellow, small white lacing foam head. Strong hoppy aroma and bitter tsste. Grapefuit notes, fruity too. Quite nice, relative bitter. (Houston 201605)

Pours hazy apricot with eggshell head. Aroma has strong woody hop overtone. Flavor has hoppy and floral notes plus a hint of fruit. Texture has average viscosity but good fizz.

Sampled this from the Mellow Mushroom, Houston Tx. The body is a hazy yellow with some tan tinges to it, the head was rather thin and it left some spotty lace. The flavor was a bit odd very pungent almost skunky combo of pine and grapefruit, almost medicinal. I finally leaned toward the 'like it' side but it took a minute.
