New Offering from the Lion Brewery at the Huether Hotel This witbier tapped a clouded translucent pale orange with a billowy white cap....lively effervescence. Nose fills with a tangerine-spice pungency mixed with sweet malty tones. Light bodied, spritzy semi dry, malty and spicey with a citrusy character. Up front there is a peppery mouth feel from the effervescence but this drops away to reveal a nice bicuity malt presence that is cleanly balanced with a citrus tartness and soicey astringency...finish is spritzy, dry and biscuity with a light citrus aftertaste. A very quenching, dinkable house witbier... a tad less dry and maltier than some but with a well defined orange-corriander character and biscuity wheat snap to it.
