60 miles west of the LCCB Farm, nestled on a hillside in Jarman’s Gap in Crozet, VA, lies the springhouse for Lickinghole Creek. Winding through the valley just below is the historic Three Notch’d Road. Deer, bears and coyotes share this land as they endulge in wild blueberries, blackberries, and low hanging apples, then washed down by the sweet waters of Lickinghole Creek. As LCCB and Three Notch’d Brewing Co. share the same Grand Opening Date of Sept 28th, 2013, it seemed destiny for us to brew a special anniversary beer together. We present to you, “The Source” Blueberry IPA, brewed with blueberries picked straight from The Source.

Bottle - 750mL crowned. Cloudy murky amber with a short, foamy tan head. Blueberry notes mixed with caramel, soft floral hops and grains in the nose. Taste is sweet malt, caramel, floral hops, herbal hops and tart blueberries. Body is medium with a creamy, bubbly carbonation and a dry finish with soft bitterness lingering. Ends with more tart blueberries, floral hops, caramel and toasted grains.
