Double blanche - Double wheat Wholeheartedly endorsing this quote from Voltaire, our brewmaster loves winter so much that he concocted this warm and soothing beer. Its foam is like a snowbank: white and compact. A fresh flurry of subtle spices tickles the nose. It offers a cool mouthfeel: a little sweet, a little peppery. It comforts with its alcohol halo, omnipresent and gentle. All things considered, Voltaire was wrong: Innkeeper !

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a small frothy white head and has a slightly hazy golden appearance. Nice dirty lacing. Aromas are fairly fruity, some hints of tropical fruits. Flavours are very much on the fruity side, lots oranges and tropical fruits as well. Lively carbonation. A bit of a tangy finish on the palate. Very yummy.

Pours a hazy light-golden colour with a white cap, decent retention and lacing. Aromas of Belgian Ale yeast with some fruity wheat and floral hops. Spices in the flavours with some light sweetness from the sugar and a finish with the grassy hops. Well-hidden alcohol with a silky mouthfeel. A nice Imperial witbier with more hoppiness than most of this style. A nice addition to their brews, and great for winter.
