Dans la grande tradition des produits LEFFE , UNe brune de grande classe. Juste balance dans le goût de levure, une pure merveille.

C: Murky dark brown, cream colored head
A: Roasted malt, biscuit malt, spices, yeast
    P: Medium bodied
F: starts off malty with bread notes, and finishes with a spicy hop finish
O: There isn’t much debate, this is THE BEST beer in the entire Anheuser-Bush InBev SA portfolio, and in blind taste tests, holds up well against the better reputation Belgians

Pours clear mahogany with a thick and frothy buff head. Aroma presents fruity, toasted malt, and subtle caramel tones. Flavor features all that the aroma promises, but nothing more - still, a pleasing brew. Mouthfeel has OK body and fizz, leaving a malty and somewhat fruity finish. If not the best thing out of Belgium, certainly worthy of at least a try.

Pours brown with a long lasting foam head which leaves a decent coat of lacing. Belgian yeast and sweet fruity aroma. Flavour is a little sweet but it's ok. Breaded malt with some light fruit, banana, clove and nutty. Creamy and smooth mouthfeel. An easy to find treat. InBev haven't ruined it yet.

Enjoyed a pint at The Town Crier in Toronto. Pours a big frothy brownish head and has a fairly dark amber/copper appearance. Leaves some pretty thick lacing. Aromas of resin hops, wheats, nutty malts. Flavours are somewhat bitter, not too much and not in the hoppy sense. Mainly sweet and nutty malts. Some notes of raisins and caramel hints. Nice slight warming sensation and pretty smooth mouthfeel.

Pours dark brown body with a large, frothy head, nice thick lacing left behind.Nose shows grassy notes with some banana yeastiness. Flavours are more impressive, with bready malt, brown sugar and raisins noticeable along with the banana and clove. Also there's a metallic character in the finish.Carbonation is high.

Very dark brown color, good lasting foam head. Sweet but that is what you expect from a brune. Good lasting taste and yes, some bitterness. Drank many times, will drink more. (Velp 201202)

Pours a solid opaque dark brown, almost black color and a nice looking head. The aroma of brown sugar, plums, apricots, and maybe a bit of chocolate. The taste is of chocolatey malty plums with a dash of backend bitterness rounding out the beer. Very fruity, very drinkable. Nice head retention and good lacing. Chewy cherry flavors come through on the sip, as well.

I loved this dubbel from Leffe. It was pleasant to know that I have found a very well made nicely priced dubbel that i can get anytime. Opening scent described as a roasty nutty smell. In the mouth it has been full of body and after taste is very tasty and almost creamy yet unbelieveably smooth. You will be well worth it getting this brew.

Poured a body of clear, cola-like brown under a modest head of light brown. Aroma was had spices, malt, and maybe a hint of fruit. Lovely flavour to mirror the scent. Very smooth mouthfeel, and a sweet finish.

Wonderful! This is Leffe's dark brother. It pours thin like the ale with lots of bubbles. Smell is Belgian yeast. The mouthfeel is exquisitely thin. The taste is like a dark brown sugar version of the ale. Finish is a little weird. Its like nutrasweet. In a word, yummmy. I love it. I could alternate this and the ale all day! I would let the Korean drink this. I'll have the ale. Then SQUIRT!
