A crisp rendition of the classic ales of Düsseldorf, Eightmile Alt is remarkably smooth and richly copper-hued. This is an ideal session bier, brewed to a gentle strength with one of the cleanest palates you’re likely to find. Lightly hopped and not too sweet, Eightmile Alt is bier for friends sharing the day’s adventures.

Sampled on 11/26/2010. This alt pours a slightly cloudy medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy hear with decent retention and good lacing. The aroma is malty, bready and semi-sweet with perhaps a touch of funk. A medium bodied alt. The malts are fruity, bready and semi-sweet. The hops are herbal and floral. Nice carbonation. A little dry and earthy. Very drinkable. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Ok. Bier from the backwoods. pours a slightly muddy amber colour with a noticeable roasted malt aroma. It's pleasent in every way. Toasty and generous with cocoa. Firm withstanding, bier with a hopeful earthy tone coming through. A really nice bier, but could use al ittle assistance.
