“Lancaster Red is a premium strength, ruby red beer, fired by plentiful amounts of Goldings and First Gold hops to give a wonderfully spicy but sweet fragrance. Using a blend of Maris Otter, Crystal and Dark Crystal malts, Red offers a robust malt-dominated body finished with a splendid bitter note. Red is an impact bitter designed to leave a lasting impression both visually and on the taste buds." - Robust ale with a malt dominated body.

Bottled. Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is caramel malts, some mild hops and leathery notes. Flavour is much the same with some rubber added to it. Average ESB.

500 ml bottle, a Christmas present from my nephew Einar, thanks! ABV is 4.9%. Copper coloured beer, moderate off-white head, nice lacing. Moderate malty aroma, notes of bakery and caramel, hints of red fruits. The flavour is fairly malty with distinct notes of caramel and brown bread, in a blind test I might first mistake this ale for a German dunkel. The earthy hops in the finish are more pronounced than in most dunkels, though. A very drinkable beer!

It was drawn a beauitiful deep red colour and had a decent hoppy aroma that the taste lived up to. The flavor was incredible with a nice, neat, crisp finish. Truly outstanding beer.
