12oz Bottle. Clear light copper color with thin white head. Light aroma of malts and hops. Too mellow to pick up which type. Nice mild flavor of caramel malts and sweet lightly roasted malts. It is indeed a bit creamy with just a little piney hop bitterness about midway to the finish. I guess for a cream ale this 7.6% ABV is hi gravity. It isn’t really noticeable.

A very strong initial taste impact wallop follows the enticing sweet hints of floral fruity aroma. You better be serious if you are thinking about drinken a couple of these! Good creamy carbonation mixed with a thick syrupy feel. A little darker than the typical pale yellow lager and a higher viscosity. Very difficult high alky flavor. Of course, it is difficult to hide 8%! Pretty acrid malt finish with this high alky stuff. You know this is a strong ale, no questions asked. Like any other strong ale I’ve had the pleasure of tasting, this will probably not be purchased again. I can see why this would gather a high rating on this website. Lagunitas is known for their powerful strong personality brews.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is lots of fruity and flowery hops. Flavour is caramel malts, some sweet fruityness as well as some mild grainy notes. Balanced. Grassy finish.

i was looking forward this, but in the end, there was nothing about the flavor that stood out at all. creamy, with a thick mouthfeel, otherwise a mish-mash of malt and hops, with seemingly no direction. ok.

Bottle shared by Robert at State Line. Pour was amber in color, decent large bubble foamy head and lacing. The aroma was firm pine and citrus hops. The flavor was firm pine and citrus hops over caramel, grainy, and even slightly bready malts. The mouthfeel was light to moderate but not seemingly any cleaner than a standard IPA vs. a "high gravity cream ale," as the hops overwhelmed any subtle yeast contributions in this one. Thanks, Robert, for sharing!

Pours a bright orange color with a thin off-white head that settles down to just about nothing. Aroma is fruity and very floral. The taste is sweet and tangy fruits with spices and some light hopping. Dry in the finish with mild bitterness. This is nice, it's all a little light considering the abv, but still a good beer.

Not a bad beer. Crystal clear golden color, with smallish head. Sweet malty aroma. The flavor was sweet and syrupy, with just enough bitterness to keep her honest. Vanilla, caramel and fruity. Much like a beer version of a cream soda. The mouthfeel was carbonated, and not overly smooth.

12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold with a big fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass a little.
The aroma is sweet bready malts with a little melon, grassy hops and alcohol.
The flavor is sweet creamy malts with some big grassy bitterness and a touch of alcohol in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, tastes like a pumped up (hop and alcohol) cream ale. It's the best cream ale I've had and is enjoyable, but not great. -

Hazy pale orange with a low white foam. Mild but still dense aroma of dried mandarine-peels and caramel. Clean fruity flavour of apricot, oranges, caramel and grass. Mild finish of mandarine. Clean mouthfeel. I'm not sure what to make out of this.
