It pours a light golden color. It's very clean and clear with a good amount of carbonation that makes a big white head. It has lots of big bubbles that leave great lacing on the glass. A light cereal, like rice chex makes up the aroma and flavor. There seems to be some faint grassy hops in the flavor as well. Fizzy carbonation gives it a bit of a bite on the tongue. The finish is quick clean and dry. Overall I would say that it has the most flavor of the low carbohydrate beers.

As the low carb brews go it isn't bad. There wasn't much to the aroma and the flavor was fair. The light tan coloring in the glass wasn't bad to look at. Basically, it was nothing special but it wasn't bad either.

I sampled this at Nickles + Beal in Hamilton, NY It was the only thing they had that I hadn't tried. Overall it wasn't bad. It wasn't great either. It was a milder version of Labatt Light. It is the first low carb that I have tried that had beer flavor. The one thing the low carbs have going for them is a decent amount of carbonation. I would have this one again if choices were limited. I did notice that I didn't get the headache that I often get when I drink a blue.

I actually like Labatt Select. The 99 calorie thing aside this beer isn't bad tasting. I've bought s few boxes of this stuff in my day.
