Bottle: Poured a clear light black color stout with a great foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light black chocolate with some light dry coffee notes. Taste is lighter then expected with some light black chocolate and some very subtle coffee notes. Body is way too thin for the style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. A somewhat disappointing effort way not enough body too hold the package together.

My girlfriend had this one at the pub in Jonquière, Quebec, and so I had to sample it. It was served in a snifter glass. Poured a pitch black colour with a good creamy head, decent retention and lacing. Aromas were a good blend of roasted malt, chocolat malt, caramel malt, dark fruits and alcohol. The mouthfeel had a bit of tartiness and was mostly sticky. The taste was sweet with slight alcohol and malts, with the roasted malt lingering into the aftertaste. Well brewed impy stout, and their finest brew.
