330 ml stubby bottle, as Bocq Gauloise Ambrée, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.5%. Deep golden to amber colour, huge lasting head, slightly off-white. Pleasant and well balanced aroma of malts, brown kandi sugar and fruity hops, also distinct spicy notes. The mouthfeel is maybe a bit thin, and the beer is not very sweet. The flavour has some notes of brown malts and toffee, and the hops in the finish are very moderate. Easy drinking and undemanding.

Bottled. Hazy amber colour with mediumsized beige head, which disappears quite fast though. Aroma is hops, yeast, spices and some mild notes of licorice. Flavour is grassy hops along with some citrus and flowery notes. Some mild spices and caramel also show. Aftertaste is mainly fruity and flowery hoppy with some mild spicy notes.

Poured a nice browny/white head and looked good dark golden orange colour. Sweet orangey aroma and flavour, but not at all too sweet with a good little bit of bitterness.

cloudy amber colour with a beautiful big foamy head, litchies aroma, sweet and full-bodied with some acidity before a stonrgly malty finish - very pleasant

Amber coloure with medium sized off white head. Fresh aroma; hops, yeast, malt, sweet and spicey. Flavour is initially sweet, then dry and finally a light bitterness. Medium bodied. Pretty good.
