The beer poured a translucent gold colour with a generous white head and a lot of effervescence. The aroma was grainy malt and herbal hops. Typical german pilsner aroma. The flavour was grainy malt with a bitter finish. Taste improved as the beer warmed slightly.

Bottle at home, this rating is more for my own list I have had this beer earlier this year before i started taking notes. What I remember: decent beer, but since its German, you get what you expect mostly.

30cl from tap at Cafe Central, Saigon. Light golden with a nice white head. Lightly malty aroma. Light sweetness with some bitterness. Decent German pilsner, but nothing special. Quite nice in the heat and a welcome change from the local pale lagers. (2012-05-11)

Nose is grass with just a hint of bubblegum surprisingly enough and just a hint of sourdough. Boys are fairly deep golden body with a massive head that leaves quite good lace. Mouth is slightly slick a little bit watery. Very mild flavor perhaps what a good American Mass brewed beverage should taste like but doesn't. There's some grass there's a sourish finish there's some fairly Noble hop hits but just barely there. It's extremely drinkable.

Comes out of the tap a clear solar yellow with a fairly thick, fine-bubbled and rather persistent white head. Crisp aroma is malty and a little fruity. Malt dominates the simple, refreshing flavor, which has an undertone of hops, a bitter snippet, and a touch of pear. Texture has average thickness and some good fizz. I prefer darker beers, but this is fine.

Pours a clean golden colour with a huge white head that is creamy, frothy, with great retention and foamy lacing. Contains hops and hop extract ?? Is that really part of the German Purity Law of 1516, to have extracts ? Anyways, mild grainy malt nose with bare minimal hops. Watery, but slightly creamy mouthfeel. Not hoppy at first sip, but the hop does come out eventually, and it is the one I do not like. The one that makes the beer taste rusty. Not as bad as others with this hop, and the malt saves things in the finish, lingering a little. Says No. 1 Premium beer in Germany. Not sure about this one, as I am sure there are better German Pils that appeals to the mass market ?

Clear golden yellow with pure white foam head. Foam is lasting, nice. Somewhat carbonated but bitter hop taste and pure, some spices. A German beer. (Velp, 201201)

This is one of the better PILs I've had. Golden color. Good hang time on a three finger head. Splotches of film and a thin ringlet hang around. Grassy, bready in the profile. Crisp and refreshing

A clear and pale gold, with lazy carbonation, the head is soapy and thin but leaves some o.k. lace. Aromas of hay, biscut, usual pilsner stuff. Flavor statrs with the dry grassy hops and has a bready finish. Overall a nice enough pilsner, not great but nice.

drank a few before christmas dinner over at sherry and ronnie's (ma's friend) while watching pork tenderloins cook in oil, 42 degrees outside .. . Pours a sacajawea dollar gold .. medium foam .. light credible lacing .. . why isn't there a bbq cologne? .. . light bitterness .. . quite grassy, lots of hay too .. . umm, it did the job but as far as euro lagers goes, i'm afraid this is pretty low on the spectrum .. . . You'll Thank me tomorrow!! I knew you'd see it my way..
