Here is a true harbinger of spring. Krenkerup Påskeøl delivers a taste of spring, so you can feel the warmth and sense the daffodils come out - it’s quite deliberate. The characteristic budding taste and strong malty beer combined with beautiful maroon color is not to be mistaken: Spring is in the bottle. Krenkerup Påskeøl is particularly suitable for the Easter table, and balances the perfect flavors at mealtimes - especially lamb. The beer is brewed with top fermenting yeast and both Bavarian and English hops - of course without any kind of additives according to the Bavarian Purity Law.

500 ml bottle, from Dagli’brugsen Skødstrup. ABV is 6.5%. Deep reddish brown colour, huge orangey-beige head of good retention. Very nice aroma of spices, Belgian ale yeast, caramel malts and brown kandij sugar. The flavour is moderately malty, not too sweet, with spicy notes, also notes of dark dried fruits and caramel, hints of oak. The mouthfeel could have been fuller, but this is still a remarkably drinkable beer.
