is an amber beer with coppery reflection. it gives a fine creamy head. It smells of caramel malt in the mouth it is soft, with active charcoal and a nice bitterness that finished it off.

500 ml flip-top bottle bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Klosterbräu glass a clear old red copper or copper brown colored beer with a two fingers slightly beige creamy foamy head that had a very long retention. Active carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is slight caramel malts, grainy and bready. The flavour is strong caramel malts, biscuits, bready, floral hops. The balance maltiness / bitterness is a success. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. This medium bodied beer has a long malty finish and a late but real warming effect. Easy drinkable and tasting. A nice and refreshing beer from the beer-mecca of Bamberg.

Fränken Bierausflug, Day#4, Brewery#17, Beer#34. Vom Faß in the Braunbierstübla at the brewery. Light golden amber color with a thin foamy tan head and light lacing. Nose of caramel malt, sweet and buttery. Mouthfeel begins smooth then turns pleasantly bitter. Flavors are light toffee, toasted grain and reserved hops. Nice, easy drinking, fresh and flavorful.
