Our authentic brewing technique, using only the finest imported Dark Munich Malt and Noble German Hops, gives this beer King’s trademark “true to style” aroma and flavour. This deliciously dark lager is red-brown in colour, with a thick tan coloured head and a rich, full palate. It delivers a complex yet clean bready taste with a hint of toasted chocolate, and leaves elegant lace lines to the bottom of the glass. Extremely flavourful, balanced and refreshing, our Dark Lager can be truly appreciated from the very first taste.

The Beerbistro (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
December 15, 2011
$6.65
The beer poured a dark coca-cola brownish-black, with golden-brown edges and a cream coloured cap. Aroma was wheat, roast, caramel, toffee with some weak floral hints. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was sweet malt, toffee, and a hint of molasses and spice. -

Purchased in Toronto at a LCBO. Part 2 of 3 dark brown beer that are tested tonight. This one pours a clear brown colour, and looks quite close to the Black Oak Nut Brown Ale I just had. The only difference is that the lacing is slightly thinner on this one and the retention does not last as long. The nose is of dark fruits, yeast and mild dark malts. Watery carbonated mouthfeel with very light stickiness. The taste is pretty mild, with some roasted malts and a light sweetness in the finish. Not a bad product, but just laking punchiness.
