Bottle provided by Jenray .. . Pours a deep tan caramel .. . awesome foam .. lacing is like a 5year found a glue bottle .. . 100 acres of fresh cut trees, sap, sticky flowers, and resin .. . nice mouth, sticky and pleasing .. . an awesome brew!! .. . . We're in a warehouse, and you just hit a cow. I think we better back up.

A wonderful showcase of some pungent fruity hops. Tons of grapefruit, apricot, and lemon with a dry pale malt back drop. Let the hops do the talking while the malts patiently sit in the corner. Light bodied, smooth and nicely bitter. Feels more like an IPA with a hidden imperial strength.

sweet - thanks for adding this, bro - saved me a step. i loved it a bit more it seems. this was up there (though below) Pliny and Pliny as my favorite of the IIPA fest. It's citrus rind sweet and bitter goodness stood up to the biggest and best...we even went back for seconds. not all hops, but not exactly balanced, it's bright and fragrant aroma and taste were great. i;d buy bottles if i ever saw em. lower ibus (75) than most or all at the fest, but more flavor. Not quite as much of a WOW beer bottled, but pretty damn nice.

Tasted on tap at the 11th Bistro Double IPA Festival on 2/12/2011. This Imperial India Pale Ale pours a slightly hazy yellow gold color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is citrusy, tangerine and grapefruit. A medium bodied Double IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet, orange, tangerine and citrus. The hops are grapefruit and citrus. Nice balance. Decent carbonation. Medium bitterness, lots of citrusy flavors. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and citrusy.
