As an homage to the dozen or so fruit stands that line the streets of Kensington Market, we’ve brewed a light and crisp wheat beer flavoured with watermelon. Fermented with a California ale yeast, this wheat beer is cleaner than most – no banana or clove here! Watermelon was added during fermentation and results in a mild but enjoyable watermelon aroma and flavour.

Pours an average size foamy bubbly white head but doesn't stick around very long. Has a golden appearance. Weak lacing. Aromas of wheats, sweet malts, tropical fruit, melon. Flavours are actually quite noticeably watermelon, but mostly grainy, some wheats and fruity notes as well. Very faint hints of some spice. Somewhat of a tangy mouthfeel in the finish, also quite watery. Couldn't drink another, that's for sure. Love watermelon, just not in beer.

Pours a cloudy golden-yellow colour with a creamy-froth white cap, good retention and some decent lacing. Mild watermelon juice aromas over the very light wheat. You get a little more of the wheat in the taste, with the watermelon that is never too strong and some decent hops in the finish, creating some light dryness. Lightly bodied and nice that the watermelon is not the one that is sweet and gross. Just adds some refreshing fruit to the light wheat which is probably good for summer.

The beer pours a lightly hazed light gold with a 1" frothy white cap on top. Aroma is spices, wheat, and light fruit, although no real watermelon scent. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is grainy with a definite watermelon sense. Quite refreshing on a hot lazy Friday afternoon.

Ontap @ bent elbow - a hazed straw-gold color in the glass, 2 finger frothy white cap...modest retention, medium carbonation. Sandy mouth feel, light refreshing charater. Aroma is fruity, hoppy and has the signature dusty wheat maltiness. Flavour has melon, tart bright fruit and sturdy hopping riding just above the biscuit malt....clean crisp hoppy finish. Fruity refreshing.
