PINT tasting @ 't Moortgat. Clear dark brown, off-white lacing foma head. Barley aroma and taste. Quite nice tasting volume drinking beer actually. (Arnhem 201606)

Bottle. Poured a ruby brown colored beer with a one finger slight beige foamy head that had a short retention. Good lacing. The aroma is deep toasted malts, herbal hops, fruity, plums. The flavour is toasted malts, caramel, dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is slight crispy and very smooth with a superb balance. This medium bodied beer has a malty and bitter end. May be a cult-beer but certainly a very good Dunkel.

Fränken Bierausflug, Day#3, Brewery#12, Beer#25. Vom Faß at the brewery. Coca-cola colored with a dense foamy tan head. Litlle nose; light-to-medium bodied. Faint dark malt flavor with substantial hop bitterness. Crisp but unremarkable mouthfeel. Somewhat of a rank aftertaste. Great surroundings, comfortable little pubroom, but a disappointing beer.

Bottled. Deep amber colour, mediumsized beige fluffy head. Aroma is sweet malts, some nuts, earth and mild notes of grass. Flavour is grainy, rubbery and slightly sweet malty. Also some caramel.
