A golden craft-beer, brilliant, topfermented, refermented in the bottle. An exceptional blend of malts and quality hops, an elegant nose and a particularly smooth flavour.

Good beer with proper color for a tripel, taste is appealing not too bitter and stays. Drank this evening after I first had a Duvel, so may rate better when drank alone.

This was not wat I expected from Kasteel. It was really disappointing. The alcohol and malts overpower everything. I drank a number of strong beers but I never experienced the alcohol as present as in this beer. The head disappears in a few uttle moments, leaving no lacing or anything that suggests that there was a head, behind. Aroma has alcohol, alcohol and alcohol, with a tiny bit of caramel and malts behind the massive wall of alcohol. Taste has typical Kasteel flavours of grease and some alcohol as well. This beer almost made me commit the unrespectable act of pouring it down the sink. However, I will try it again some time, just because I expected so much of it. Too bad it didn't worked out.

Bottle, at the Manneke Pis, Tenerife. Served with correct glass. ABV was 11%. Hazy amber to orange colour, moderate white head. Strong sweetish aroma, notes of honey and spices. Spicy medium sweet flavour, hints of honey, quite nice.

This has an amazing smell that almost overpowers the taste but it does have a good hearty smooth taste that you expect from Kasteel. With the taste comes I nice warm alcohol feeling that warms the throat as it goes down.

Not sure if this is the same beer as the Kasteel Blonde. Pours a rather anemic straw color with a small white head and little lacing. The taste starts rather lemony-sour, but quickly mellows. Some reserved spiciness and candy sweetness. The mouthfeel is rather light but smooth. The finish is soft and fruity with some alcohol warmth.
