Had this at the brewery this past saturday, fresh outta the tap.I didnt really dig the regular version of this when i tried it last so.. Pours a pitch black color with a 2 finger dark tan head, that reduces to a nice cap. Good lacing bands around the glass. Aromas of dark chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, bread, vanilla, toffee, clove, oak, bourbon, light coffee, and roasted earthiness. Taste of dark chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, toast, vanilla, toffee, brown sugar, oak, bourbon, and roasted earthiness. Nice complexity of dark/roasted malt and bourbon barrel flavors; with a great malt/barrel flavor balance. Medium carbonation and fairly full bodied, alcohol is well hidden.Overall this is a excellent barrel aged porter.
