No date code anywhere on the can. The beer pours a solid black colour with a generous light brown foamy cap that doesn’t stick around. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, soy sauce, and weak herbal hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly creamy, with average carbonation. The flavour is weak coffee, roasted malt, and some lingering vanilla notes. -

Can from the LCBO. Pours a dark brown, almost black colour with a tad of cola highlights. Big frothy mocha-coloured head, very long lasting with some nice lacing. Great freshly grinded coffee smell at first. Then some roasted malts eventually come out with later, some grassy hop notes. The taste has the roasted malts and coffee notes blended together with some decent dryness in the finish from the hops. This is quite a nice black lager with lots going on everywhere.

Can. Colour - Coca-Cola Coloured beer, brown edges, light brown head, decent lacing. Aroma - roasted malt, fresh coffee, some hints of earthy hops and dark chocolate. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, crisp, well carbonated. Flavour - roasted malt and coffee notes make up the entire flavour profile.
