750 ml bottle, batch #617, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.9%. Hazy deep golden to amber colour, large white head. Strong sweetish aroma of marmalade, cider apples, oak, farmhouse, vinegar and pickled pumpkin. The flavour is sour / acidic with notes of vinegar and pickled pumpkin. Not my cup of tea.

This stuff was killer! .. As a huge funk fan but not at all a pumpkin fan, this was good vs evil .. . touches of spice with a beautiful air of funk, a nice balance . .. i liked it.. how many times have I told you to pick that damn thing up? A lot, I think. Probably several, ...maybe.

you get a hint of the cacoa and maaaaybe a hint of spice. maybe. but the common sourness of all JP beers is starting to get a little old. nothing about this stands out from ANY other JP beer...and there's no pumpkin in the flavor or aroma that ANY of us could detect. I like the sourness there, but JPs are starting to all blend together for me, with a couple exceptions, and I'll balk next time i'm considering dropping $10-15 on a 750. as a pumpkin beer, finished 7th out of 10...as a beer, since I do kinda like that sour funk, it was midpack.
