This dopplebock pours a dark brown color from bottle (#37 of 50). Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel, sweet, brown sugar, fruit and a touch of bourbon. Medium to full bodied dopplebock. Malts are fruity and sweet, lots of brown sugar and bourbon flavors. Very smooth tasting. The bourbon and wood flavors go well with the sweetness of the dopplebock. Nice beer. Hides the alcohol well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Poured a ruby amber color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, roasted malts, raisins, nuts, caramel, and light smoke. Taste of caramel, light roasted malt, nuts, oak, smoke, bourbon alcohol, and a lightly bitter finish.
