James Ready Lager is the rock in the James Ready Beer Family. It's a well-balanced brew that's always there for you whether you're at home or in a bar. It gets its' pleasant herbal note from a special Hallertau hop. Hallertau, tough for the tongue to say but awesome for the tongue to taste.

Pours a huge foamy head and goes away fairly quickly and leaves some dirty lacing. Has a pale yellow, straw like colour for appearance. Aromas are mostly grainy malts, breads and wheats. Flavours are very much corn and grains, extremely light citrus hops. Not very much else coming through for me. Mouthfeel is very chalky and prickly. Strong tingling sensation due to somewhat excessive carbonation. Good value beer but lacks flavourful punch. Passable.

8-pack from The Beer Store. Pours a pale golden colour with a big frothy head that lasts quite a while and gives out dirty lacing. Malty nose with corn notes. Smooth mouthfeel. Mild malt taste with more corn showing up in the finish. The hop is very close to little. Still, this a notch above most macro lagers, which is good for a cheap lager.
