After brewing Mad Max (4D v.8) we had some Citra hops left in the cooler we were just itching to use. They came through so well in the Mad Max we wanted to let them shine in a more traditional American IPA. We also wanted to keep drinking an IPA with Citra hops. Chris Broome (our home brewing inmate) had a recipe he had recently brewed that was a great foundation for this beer so we started formulating from that. We ended up with what we are calling Beyond Thunderdome. Clean and dry malt flavors open the doors for the hops to come through in spades. There is no mistaking the bitterness from Warrior hops - Strong and punchy. Grassy, citrusy hop flavor and aroma scream American IPA. Beyond Thunderdome will not disappoint the hop head looking for an unmistakably hop driven beer.
