That's it! We're throwing down the gauntlet. Literally. If you haven't tried craft brewed beer before, put the bottle you're currently holding down and start somewhere else. This is not a good place to start. The Gauntlet is one seriously intense beer that should be reserved for only the boldest beer revolutionaries in the world. The inordinate amount of hop flavor and aroma that radiates from this creamy, froth covered liquid is enough to make this Brewmaster blush. If that sounds good to you, you can safely break your time on this earth down into 2 categories; the time before you tried The Gauntlet, and the time after. Not bad, but not up to SoCal double ipa standards either. Lots of pine and spice, with the citrus taking a back seat on this drive. Covers the abv well for 9+, but also isn't quite big enough elsewhere either... Good sessionable beer. surprisingly.
