Coming up with winning and consistent recipes is tough for a small brewer for sure, but this was just a dark brown ale, how hard is that? Sourish taste, med body, not spectacular. They can and will do better.

Supporting HOB all the way until while they reach consistency. The name "Dark Ale" can be misleading for many reasons. When I think of Dark, I think of Berghoff. And this brew has the same body and mouthfeel as a Berghoff Dark. First wrong move. If it is indeed a brown, it fits ok, but still a tad heavier than what should be allowed. Second wrong move. Finally. The style is a bit boring really. Nothing exciting about it. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Love what they're doing, but there's a lot of work to be done.
