Englænderne bombarderede København i 1807. Var det årsagen til at man mere end 100 år senere etablerede den kunstige ø Flakfortet for at forsvare hovedstaden ? Det er spændende forsvarshistorie. I dag er Flakfortet en velbesøgt turistatraktion med egen restuarant. Der huserer sågar et spøgelse på øen. “Helmuth” rumsterer rundt i tide og utide. Denne Brown Ale er brygget til ære for Helmuth og inspireret af de englændere, der gjorde tilværelsen usikker for københavnerne i mange år. Og den bliver serveret der ude på Flakfortet. Den er brygget på bedste engelske vis af alemalt, chokolademalt og lidt ristet byg. En rigtig fin og alsidig øl til frokosten.

    Bottled@Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki. Dark amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is fruits, wood, toffee, some mild hints of spices and mild earthyness as well. Flavour is fruits, some bready notes, mild zestyness as well as toffee and wood. Otherwise pleasant, but a thin in the palate.
