Considered to be the 8th Deadly Sin, a fastidious person is overly meticulous, has high standards, and is excessively sensitive to taste. You couldn’t sum up our brewers better. 8th Sin is our killer new black lager, brewed with 8 different types of malt (yeah 8), that is black in colour with hints of espresso and chocolate in the aroma, a medium body and a smooth sweet taste in the finish.

Good frothy head on a very dark brown body. Retains and laces well. Mild roasted malt and milk chocolate aroma. Light flavours of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee with a metallic undertone. Thin/medium mouth feel. Ok but don't think I would buy again.

Single can from the LCBO. Pours a dark brown colour with a big frothy beige head, good retention and soapy lace. Aromas of roasted malts and butterscotch with hints of grassy hops and nuts. Smooth mouthfeel, between wet and slightly creamy with a little stickiness. Light flavours of roasted malt, giving notes of coffee and nuts, with the nice yeast. I really enjoyed this one, and so did Lilihel. She would keep some of these in her fridge.

The beer pours a sold black colour with a thin rocky tan coloured head. The aroma was roasted malt, coffee, and weak herbal hops. The mouthfeel was thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour was watered down coffee, with chocolate and roast certainly prevalent. Not as good as Silversmith for a Canadian schwarzbier -

On tap at the Highlander Pub, Ottawa. Pours a beige foamy head, maybe an inch of thickness and has a dark brown appearance, light red hues. Aromas are mainly malts and earthy hops. Flavours of coffee and light chocolate notes. Some mild spices. Pretty watery mouthfeel though. Not too bad but cannot beat Kostritzer.
