2018 Dsscription The light, citrusy taste of Lion Grass comes from locally sourced organic ingredients. Made with certified organic lemongrass and dandelion leaf then dry-hopped with Cascade hops, Lion Grass has hints of honey with a dry citrusy finish. Lion Grass was voted most refreshing craft beer by our members of provincial parliament. Brewed with a dry hop technique using cascade hops for a refreshing lemon taste. 2013 Description Created in collaboration with Kerri King, the Tourism Manager for Durham Tourism, Highlander Lion Grass is described as a summer beer with organic lemongrass and dandelion leaf. Cascade hops were used to give this beer a somewhat citrus nose, and the balance is nice with some malt forward profile, hints of honey and a citrus dryness in the light and clean finish.

I’m not sure what the brewery was attempting here but they failed. The beer pours a weak gold colour and any cap that I was expecting to see, never materialized. The aroma was weak grains, some acidic notes, a little yeast, and musty hops. The flavour was very macro blonde ale-sih. Grainy, metallic, and a bitter hop finish.

The beer pours a translucent light copper colour with a generous 1" off-white head which lingers. The aroma is grainy malt, toffee, weak earthy hops, and yeast. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, slightly creamy, with average carbonation. The flavour is grains, weak caramel, bitter dandelion, and some hops. -

Bomber from the LCBO. Pours a slightly unfiltered golden colour with a big frothy white head, good retention and nice foam-cream lacing. Lots of diacetyl in the nose with the butter and caramel and grain malt in the background. Thankfully, this is milder in the taste with the dandelion leaves coming out in the finish adding some nice different dryness and bitterness. The grainy malt is in the base the whole way. Other than the diacetyl, the rest is pretty good and gets better as it goes. Love the adding of lemongrass and dandelion. Which it was a little stronger on the lemongrass.
