Sampled on 9/24/2011. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head with nice lacing and good retention. The aroma is fruity and sweet, citrusy, lemony, yeasty, with Nelson Sauvin hops. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are piney, lemony, grapefruity, and grapey (Nelson Sauvin). Decent carbonation. Hints of lemon, A fairly bitter IPA. I think some of the hops bitterness is masked by how incredibly dry this beer finishes. It’s a HUGE hop bomb, balanced by some nice malts and the overall dryness of the beer. It almost finishes like there is some brett in there. I thin this is the driest IPA I have ever tasted. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and bone dry. Aftertaste is bitter.
