pours a murky yellow with a small white head. aroma is very citric with a small amount of hops and grape smell. taste is eh, with grapes, slight hop and citrus flavor. small amount of bitterness. just not feeling this brew at all.

Poors a dark hazy hay color with very visible carbonation. Head was white with decent size, but virtually no retention. Smells yeasty with citrus zest. Mouthfeel is pretty good; the light body is refreshing. It tastes a little watered down, with light malts; the malts that are there are pretty good though, and not stale. The yeast and citrus are less prominent in the flavor, but they are still present. There is something of an unpleasant bitter aftertaste that lingers in the mouth. I bought this with Heiner Brau's Maerzen. I think that this beer has, like the Maerzen, suffered from poor distribution, but to a lesser degree than the Maerzen. I'm not really a fan of this style, but overall this beer was decent.

Very little aroma. Color was darker than expected, sort of a light amber. The taste was actually very good, although seemed a little rich and full for a kolsch. I'd compare it to a Dortmunder-style lager. Very drinkable. Best beer I've ever had from a can.
