Cask; Regular. Also available bottled. In its cask-conditioned form, this beer has won several awards including Supreme Champion. It is bottled with approximately 1/3rd less Carbon Dioxide than most beers. This results in a fresher more natural tasting beer. Blond in colour, Bitter & Twisted has a superb hop profile, combining the aromatic Hallertau Hersbrücker with the spicy Challenger. It's finished by 'late hopping' with Styrian Goldings, which gives a sharpness like the twist of a lemon.

The beer pours a translucent orange-gold with a fluffy white head. The aroma is hoppy with some citrus and spicy tines in the mix. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with mild carbonation. The flavour is hoppy with some grapefruit and lime flavours mixed in with the spices.

Pours a slightly hazy amber with a decent white head. Crisp, sharp aroma is mainly malty with a fruity undertone and just a touch of hay. Flavor is quite malty with a hay/grassy undertone and a hint of fruit, mainly apple, and bitter and spicy whispers. Fizzy yet smooth texture has slightly above-average body.

Pours a thick frothy head that gives way to a thin cap. Leaves some dirty lacing. Has a clear golden appearance. Mild citrus aromas as well as sweet bready malts with hints of toffee and caramel. Mild fruity flavours abound, some grapes, oranges, herbal hops as well as sweet toasty and bready malts. Very faint notes of caramel. Slick sensation with light bodied mouthfeel. Slightly faint carbonation. Medium finish with some light sweetness on the palate. Pretty good and very affordable for a 500ml bottle.

I like the lower carbonation in the bottle - would probably have enjoyed a firkin even more. other than that, though, it was fairly average. pleasant mix of light citrus hops and earthy malts with a hint of bread. Light aroma and flavor, but with pleasant nuances.

Clear golden yellow with small white foam head. Aroma is bittersweet, taste is likewise. A real bitter, nice aftertaste. Really a good beer.(Velp 201302)

A golden colored beer with a medium frothy textured white head rising briefly above. It settles into a thin ringlet. The nose is faint, fruity and bread. The bread and grassy hops dominate the tasting. Medium bodied. Lacks any WOW factor, but drinkable.

Nice golden color with beautiful white top. Aroma is a bit weak, but good and bready. Taste is smooth with hops and cookies, aftertaste could be a bit more refreshing, if you take into the notice the name "bitter" part, but it's quite OK.

Poured out a light gold brew with a so-so bubbly white cap, slippery lacing. Fresh hops, nectaries, white bread, very weak caramel for aroma. Decent flavour: citrus (lemon, grapefruit), apricot, hard crust buns, good chew, slight spice. Well done. Refreshing. Good solid middle, light light bitter finish.

With a moniker like Bitter and Twisted I was really thinking I would be getting something great. I was wrong. This is a dull blode ale. It pours a clear golden colour. The aroma is slightly spicy, with floral tones. The flavour was weak with a small hoppish presence.

This golden/blonde ale pours a medium gold color from a 500ml bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet. A medium bodied golden ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. Crisp and clean, with a nice malt profile. The lower alcohol level makes this a nice session ale. Lively carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Initially I noticed aromas of lemons and bread. This pale, straw colored medium bodied ale had a nice, thick white head. A nice, hoppy, citrusy(lemon like) and spicy flavors on the palate but I was a bit confused if it was a pale ale or an ESB. Otherwise a good drinking beer.
