John wanted to take our ongoing exploration of IPAs in a completely new direction, layering classic American hops over the malty base of a rich brown ale. Sweet, roasted notes of chocolate and honey malts combine with the pine and citrus of Chinook, Simcoe and Amarillo hops in this hearty and welcome addition to our family of IPAs.

Poured a mid to deep brown body with a finger or so of light brown head.Aromas of grapefruit, and pine hops with hints of chocolate malt as it warms a bit.Flavor has some earthy hops in the front, with some dark malt and nuttiness on the finish.Medium, creamy body with medium carbonation.Overall its unimpressive.
