You want hops? You got it! This beer is brewed with an insane amount of four different American style hops: Columbus, Amarillo, Simcoe and Citra. The aroma of fresh hops practically spills out of the glass. Flavors of citrus, pine, tropical fruits and grapefruit dominate. There is a balancing sweetness to the hop bitterness that comes from a generous addition of locally produced honey. This beer is dangerously drinkable for its potency, so be careful. Additional Information: This beer was first brewed to celebrate American Craft Beer Week in 2010. The Double IPA style is distinctly American, and so are the flavors of the specific hops used. This beer was an instant hit (Southern Californians do love their hops!) and we plan on brewing it throughout the year whenever our production schedule allows it.

Tropical fruit, citrus and a bit of grass greet the nose. Light in color, medium bodied. Easy drinking for a strong and flavorful beer. Stood up to Hop 15 pretty well, so kudis there. Flavor matches the aroma. Not a ton of depth, but very very very tasty, with a lingering finish.

Sampled on 5/12/2012. This Imperial India Pale Ale pours medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head with decent lacing. The aroma is fruity, sweet, citrusy and orange. A medium bodied double IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet, with a touch or orange and orange peel. The hops are citrusy, herbal and grapefruity. Nicely balanced. Good carbonation. Touch of residual sweetness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with some sweetness.
