Shared bottle at hotel room tasting, thanks to OleR. Black colour, low tan head. Moderate roasty aroma, oaky notes. Dry flavour, oaky and roasty. Decent enough, but I can’t say it is better than the "ordinary" Dark Force - on the contrary, I’d rather say.

500 ml capped bottle, brewed on 04/29/2011 and bottled on 12/30/2011, as a 9.0 % ABV. Poured and unfiltered and opaque almost black coloured I S with hints of burgundy and a one finger tan foamy head that had a quite short retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. No lacing. The aroma is strong roasted coffee beans, a pronounced alcoholic feeling, dark fruits, riped raisins and notes of dark chocolate. The flavour is rich, intense fruity, riped dark raisins, roasted malts and coffee beans, spicy, licorice, vanilla and peppery notes, herbal tones, dark chocolate and woody tones. The mouthfeel is thick and fulled, sparkling and the texture is quite syrupy. This full bodied I S has a lingering roasted coffee beans and fruity finish. A superb Imperial Stout, flavorfull and with the extra alcoholic touch ! Good job !

I really dug the base beer (an imperial wheat stout) and figured to like this one. Black pour, uner smooth body. Aroma of fudge and booze, quite nice. The flavor has that too, but an extra tartness that is juuust a little off putting, making this a very good beer instead of a world class beer.
